Hesket Newmarket pond was silted up and it was surrounded by a broken fence, damaged trees and unmanaged undergrowth as shown below. Thanks to a Cumberland Council Community Fund grant and a generous local resident the parish council was able to transform the Hesket Newmarket pond in to an attractive and functioning water feature free

As only 10 Candidates were nominated for the 10 seats on Caldbeck Parish Council an uncontested poll was declared and all the nominated candidates were elected. The Councillors from May 2023 onwards will be as shown on the official notice below.
