The St Kentigern’s Church Flower Festival, held over the Bank Holiday weekend of 22, 23, 24, 25 May, raised a wonderful £9,307.20 for church funds. The Reverend Malcolm Riches expressed his sincere thanks to Margaret Brough who co-ordinated the Flower Festival and to everyone involved. In his email of thanks to everyone he commented:

Not only did the Festival show tremendous skill and imagination giving over 1,500 visitors immense pleasure, but it was also another expression of our fantastic community spirit with a palpable atmosphere of oneness and cooperation during the days beforehand, and at yesterday’s taking-down. Then there was so much additional help and involvement with publicity, printing, setting-up, parking, raffle, ice-creams, refreshments, churchyard etc., and the inclusion of The Old Rectory garden.  All simply amazing!
