Carol Singing around Caldbeck Parish – the 75th year: Christmas 2017.
The evening of the 19th December saw two groups of carol singers set off round Caldbeck village. We had hoped to have a third group to go around the farms but it was not to be! Maybe next year we’ll have a few more singers and be able to head further afield?
We were very lucky with the weather, a clear dry evening, and arrived back at the Chapel ready for a hot drink and mince pie (or two)!
Thank you very much for your generous donations to the two groups of singers. We received the wonderful total of £300 which Hilary took to the Hospice at Home Office. They were very appreciative of the donation.
Thank you too to all the Carol Singers. You sang lustily for just over two hours and earned your mince pies!
And thank you to those who baked the delicious mince pies and those who looked after us at the Chapel.
Why not look out for the Carol Singing date in November’s Parish Magazine and come and sing next Christmas? The more the merrier!
