Carol Singing around Caldbeck Parish – the 73rd year.

The evening of 22nd December was ideal for carol singing, a dry evening and not too cold. The rain didn’t start until we were on our way back to the Chapel for mince pies and hot drinks! Two groups sang their way around the village of Caldbeck, including Upton this year. The third group visited a number of farms.
Thank you very much for the very generous donations to all three groups of singers. We received the wonderful total of £510 and £170 has been sent to each of the Charities: Save the Children, NSPCC, and Action for Children (previously The National Children’s Home).
Thank you too to all the Carol Singers. A number of new singers joined us this year and were very welcome!
And thank you to those who baked the delicious mince pies and those who looked after us at the Chapel.
Why not look out for the Carol Singing date in November’s Parish Magazine and come and sing next Christmas? The more the merrier!
