| The practice, based near the centre of Caldbeck, provides primary healthcare for approximately 4,800 people spread over 700 square miles. Visitors are welcome to make an appointment by visiting the Surgery or by telephone. |
| The surgery has its own dispensary. There is no pharmacy in Caldbeck or Hesket Newmarket. |
| As members of BASICS, the doctors also attend accidents and emergencies in the area together with the emergency services.. |
Prescription Delivery Service

As part of our continuing efforts to improve services to patients we will be offering a free delivery service for repeat prescriptions to patients who are housebound or have particular difficulties getting to the surgery.

| Out of hours |

When the surgery is closed, out of hours care of patients is delegated to the CUEDOC (Cumbria Emergency Doctors On Call) service. |
| CUEDOC covers from 6.30pm until 8.00am weekdays and all weekend (from 6.30pm Friday until 8.00am Monday morning). |
| Bank holidays, Easter and Christmas closures are also covered by CUEDOC, as are our training afternoons that take place once a month. |
